People knows me as Rodrigo Breck. Rodrigo Dias Fernandes Breckenfeld, to be most exact. I'm a brazillian graphic designer was born at 1983 july 5th in Recife, major town of a beautiful and full of soul state of Brazil called Pernambuco.

I think my first contact with arts happened when I was 12yo, to discover that it was fun to draw characters of Street Fighter. I did not became a draftsman, but i think it was a start.

So, when i was 16, i decided to design a website for my melodic hardcore band (believe me, it sound very bad) using macromedia fireworks mx. A very good designer friend of mine (Felipe Snipes, co-founder and currently owner of an amazing web company called CAPPEN) saw that layout and said: "hey man, this is not so bad for a beginner. You got the look..." . Since then i never stopped.

And that is where the fun begins. I start to do some freelance jobs to friends, parents, and some small companies to pick up the thing. But someday i went to college to study agronomy. I spend 2 years bored doing that, so i decided to get out of there and work in graphic design for living. My grandmother almost had a heart attack when I did it. Coincidentally my girlfriend got pregnant, then I realized I really had to do it for sure, and again, my grandmother almost had another heart attack.

Then got a job in advertising company called MEIOS, at the same time i shared activities in a associated publishing company named ODISSEU that work in the same office. And it was a great learning... I worked out with different professionals and feeling what is an advertising agency and how it worked. There I met guys like Claudio Lira, Cesar Mafra and Julio Figueiredo who taught me a lot. And the technical stuff didn't really was the most important for sure. This time lasted almost a year.

So i worked out in some other places, not less important, like YO!BR, NOZ! Web and a lot of freelance jobs, when is important to mention the job for EFX Custom Effects, a handmade guitar effects factory that i got the pleasure to create your visual concept and almost all the arts for they individual pedals. Each one had a message or a joke behind and this visual concept was the platform for the another artists contribution. This action, combined with a good job of marketing, was crucial to the company became a blockbuster in his segment. A great success with the brazillian's guitar consumers for a small company, reaching even bother to larger companies.

Then i moved to Maceió, a cute beach town in a near state called Alagoas. And as soon as I went, i started to work in an web agency called V3 Interativa, which then turned 2i9 Multiagencia some time after. In the recent past, December 2009, I got bored of doing websites, having to deal with front-end and robotic things that have not to do with art, So i decided to return to origins: Advertising. It was then i received a invite to work in Teia e Mais, but something's got wrong there and i stayed for only 3 months.

Currently im working in a place that i can call "mine": VG Web is a small web agency that thinks big, and where a can get comfortable to do what i want. There is a compact team made up by amazing professional guys i believe so much. We gonna take our place.

And here I am since. In a lifelong learning. In my desire to be a great designer, a great father, a great man. I hope to get it someday.
